CSLab Cannot Help You with the Following

CSLab cannot help you with the following areas. If a link is provided, it means that you should follow the link to find the appropriate contact for the task. If no link is provided, it means that we do not know who is responsible for the task, we simply know that it is not us.

Desk Moves

Desk moves must be co-ordinated through the Graduate Office. If you are a student, normally you would discuss any potential move with your supervisor, who will in turn forward the request to the Graduate Office. Once a move has been finalized, the Graduate Office will pass the required computer move request on to your Point of Contact (PoC).

Telephones and Fax Machines

If you need help with telephone service, repairs, line moving, voicemail, or any other aspect of telephones or fax machines, please talk to Winsome Green (<win AT SPAMFREE cs DOT toronto.edu> in the Departmental Office.

Photocopiers

Although the department does have at least one combination printer and photocopier, we cannot help you regarding their service. Also, we cannot help you regarding service of any standalone photocopiers. If a printer/photocopier is not printing when used as a network printer, contact us only if the printer/photocopier works in every other way, i.e. if it doesn't photocopy or print, please don't contact us regarding the matter, as it is obviously a problem beyond simply the network printing mechanism. Please report problems with photocopiers to Winsome Green (<win AT SPAMFREE cs DOT toronto.edu>) in the Departmental Office.

Office Access

If you are having trouble getting access to offices or labs, this includes the card system used in Bahen, please contact <doors AT SPAMFREE cs.toronto DOT edu> regarding the Bahen card system, or see the Departmental Office regarding issues with keys. We are sorry, but CSLab staff cannot open an office door for you if you have forgotten or misplaced your keys, and we cannot fetch things from offices to which you do not have access.

Bahen Floor Boxes

If you need help with co-ordinate moving of floor boxes (network and power receptacles) in the Bahen building, we don't know whom you would need to contact for this. We do know that CSLab cannot help you in this regard.

Departmental Homepage

For changes, questions or other matters regarding the Departmental Website (i.e. http://web.cs.toronto.edu) or the DCSweb site (i.e. http://dcsweb.cs.toronto.edu), please send all questions or comments regarding these web areas to <www AT NOSPAM cs.toronto DOT edu>. Thank you!
